This session will focus on equipping DAF providers with practical guidance for supporting donors who want to recommend grants to charities outside the U.S., including navigating risk, compliance, and decision‑making around intermediaries versus direct grants.

In her role, Sara provides strategic and operational leadership to the Foundation's grantmaking and scholarship processes, and services operationally complex funds. She began her work in philanthropy at ACF in 2017 overseeing grants from the Foundation, and implemented the Foundation's process for international grantmaking.
Kelsey serves as the Vice President of Donor Services at CAF America, having begun at the organization in 2016 working with charity partners and individual donors. Now leading the Donor Services Department, Kelsey manages a team of fund managers and supports donor clients with cross-border grantmaking, drawing on a background in grants management, fundraising, community outreach, and public health initiatives. Kelsey especially values learning about each donor’s “why” for giving and is also actively involved in internal staff initiatives, including the Values, Principles, and Practices working group and the Diversity and Inclusion working group.
